Happy Birthday Mom!
Photos, spring 2009
Here are some photos I took in my neighborhood, and elsewhere in San Francisco, in the winter and spring of 2009.
(we don't have snow so it looks the same.)
Special Section: Houses in my neighborhood
There's lots of interesting houses in and around Potrero Hill where I live.
Special Section: Kansas Street
There's a section of Kansas Street that you can't drive through because it's too steep.
But there's a stone pathway and stairs up through some gardens.
This is near Vermont St.
I was walking by an Antiques store.
I usually ignore them, but this one had a big Tour Eiffel near the door.
It reaches to the ceiling, you can see the size by the chair next to it.
I thought of buying it for you, but where would you put it?
This is a picture of me.
I didn't spend a lot of time on it, I just found it in my pictures, so here it is.
Views
I kept on trying to get a good shot of downtown SF. But there kept on being telephone wires in the way.
This brown house has a really nice view of downtown.
This picture I made by stitching together two photos I took diagonally, to get the most skyline I could.
This is still with my cellphone camera; the other camera I had died last year.
This is a little bit more to the right.
You can see the bay bridge that goes to Berkeley and Oakland.
This is looking southwest.
The hill is Bernal Heights.
I used to live on the other side of that hill, 1986-1990.
This is some luxury liner docked in the bay, as seen from the top of the hill.
This is the same view, getting close to sunset.
Very sunset.
This is a neighborhood on the east side of Potrero Hill, during sunset.
This is a beach right on the north end of San Francisco.
It is surrounded on three sides by the city.
You can even see the Golden Gate Bridge from there.
